CPAC 2012

Callista GIngrich at CPACOn Friday, February 10, Newt and I had the pleasure of participating in the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, DC.

I had the pleasure of introducing Newt before he took the stage to address thousands of enthusiastic conservatives. I enjoyed the opportunity to share a few little known facts about Newt, such as his love for golf and reading.

Newt then spoke to the group about his plans for a Gingrich White House in 2012. Laying out policies and executive orders, Newt stressed the need for a bold leader to oppose the Republican establishment and Washington bureaucracy. Throughout the speech, his remarks were met with standing ovations.

Newt and I participated in a book signing immediately following the speech. We enjoyed meeting many enthusiastic supporters and young conservative students who traveled from all over the country to attend CPAC. Ellis the Elephant made an appearance and was, as usual, a big hit.

Later in the evening, Newt and I joined Dave Bossie and Citizens United to screen our film, Ronald Reagan: Rendezvous with Destiny. In this film you can see how Reagan, the great communicator, used his words and leadership to restore confidence in America and its future.

Newt and I greatly enjoyed our time at CPAC and are encouraged by the enthusiasm to restore conservative principles to Washington in order to rebuild the America we love.
