Yindjibarndi (Indjibandi)

Yindjibarndi is a member of the Ngayarta (Pil-bara) group of the south-western branch of the Pama-Nyungan language family. It was originally spoken in the tableland area of the Pilbara and is now still spoken around Roebourne, the north west of Western Australia by several hundred people.

There also is a programme to teach the language in primary schools.
