Ugh, those 3D rendered 2D sprites are a poor substitute for true hand drawn pixel art. They give the game a cheap flash game look...

Yea.....

Now if they could only remake or port Genealogy of the Holy War. Hell, they could put it on the VC; it's already there in Japan...

The ESRB would have a field day with the incest running rampart in FE4. The odds of us getting a true localization of FE4-5 are slim.

Ever since the series moved to GCN I've wanted the GBA look back... I was hoping for it when I first heard about this game but no... no more hand drawn sprites for us...

FE7 for the world!

"Yeah they did. Intelligent Systems is 1st Party Nintendo."

While I see your point, that is like saying Microsoft made the Halo series. Would you agree with that statement?

Unless you would also agree that Microsoft pretty much has 0 first party developers...

Intelligent Systems is owned by Nintendo, Bungie was owned by Microsoft (even though Halo was being developed prior to Bungie being bought). So yes, I agree that they are the same. Unless you agree that you're not an employee of your employer tongue

Hahaha, true true. Well... this isn't really a good solution (the true solution would be for the ESRB to take a deep breath and relax), but anyways, they could just modify the pairing system altogether. I don't know... just implement the support conversations from recent games, and instead of being a child that comes from both unit, make a young rookie recruit magically appear? Lol... wow.

They don't have to know.

They did, because Bungie was 1st party Microsoft.

Besides, are you trying to say that Nintendo didn't make Metroid?

Pretty sure Bungie was a second party developer. The first party IS Microsoft.

This is the size of it. Second party developers are studios that are owned by one of the console makers and only make games for that system, but aren't officially a part of the company, like Rare used to be with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems is with Nintendo now.

Guys, Intelligent Systems has been an internal Nintendo team from the beginning. They split off from Nintendo's R&D1 back in the day (which was then merged with R&D2 to form EAD). Nintendo owns them just like they do EAD, Monolith, NST, and Retro. Bungie was acquired by Microsoft back in the day, so yes Microsoft made Halo (since they owned Bungie at the time). Second party usually refers to contractual agreements to only produce games for a certain company's systems. They are not owned by a company that creates a system, just contractual obligated to make games for their systems. Nintendo's examples of that would be Game Freak, HAL, skip, with Rare and Silicon Knights being former 2nd parties.

Chief has got it right.

Just look at Wiki, IS is displayed as 1st party.

IS is just a portion of Nintendo, just like Zelda Team or the Mario Team.
