In the darker era of my life, I only watched those around me play video games, rarely daring to take up the controller by myself. Back then, it was a hobby for those more skilled than me, and one I would never grow into. Until one glorious day, that is, on which I brandished a controller (mouse, actually) against the denizens of Jon Irenicus' cruel prison. From that day forth, I was changed.

Years pass, the upper planes of my being open before me, and I have now beaten over 150 RPGs and played pieces and parts of many more (generally lesser ones not worth completion, of course). While I once was faithful to the RPG genre, my recent years have seen me expand my experiences to other genres, where I found other loves. The qualities I admire in video games – irrespective of genre – are almost always the same, however: soul, imagination, and the creation of a new world unto itself. Being fun helps too.

When not playing video games or slaving away for RPGFan, I can most often be found reading, writing, or preparing my next D&D; adventure. I dabble in piano, exercise, and a more-than-passing interest in film. Although I appreciate a large bed and soft blankets, I generally find being inside troublesome. You're more likely to find me out-of-doors when the weather is kind, exploring the secret places of the earth in search of untold magic.

I still have not been quiet and fortunate enough to see a real life gnome.
