Consoles and PC's have had a slow month interms of new AAA quality games arriving for your respected platform. While January got off to a slow start, it quickly recovered to bring us high quality tittles through digital distribution. Plenty of great downloadable arcade tittles were made available through XBLA, PSN and Steam, giving us many hidden gems on the digital marketplace. Let's look back at the games we reviewed over the past month.

Spike VGA's 2011: The Official Show Wrap-Up

The Spike Video Game Awards have officially wrapped, and while it's still a ways off from being considered a legitimate awards program like, say, the Oscars, there were plenty of entertaining moments that helped it beat out last year's ceremony.  And no sign of Olivia Munn...whew.  So what went down during the event?  We've got the full recap!

Spike VGAs 2011: First Look at Epic Games' New Franchise FORTnITE

Toward the end of the SpikeTV "Video Game Awards" live broadcast, Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski debuted the first teaser trailer for FORTnITE. The new multiplayer action game from the Gears of War 3 developer introduces a stylized look and a blend of action, horror and strategy as players build up fortifications by day to protect themselves from the undead invasion at night.
