INDIANAPOLIS -- The Circle City isn't just home to Super Bowl XLVI this year, it's also home to Madden Bowl XVIII and the next best thing to winning the Super Bowl for NFL players is to win the Madden Bowl. Jacksonville Jaguars' running back Maurice Jones-Drew knows a thing or two about the Madden Bowl, having won Madden Bowl XVI in Miami a couple of years ago. He's gone on to add the NFL rushing title to his trophy case with 1,606 rushing yards this year. His competitive fire also bleeds through to fantasy football where he is an avid fantasy football player and also hosts his own radio show on XM Sirius titled Runnin' with MJD just talking about fantasy football talk and strategy. This guys loves football no matter if its for real, virtual or fantasy. We caught up with Jones-Drew on the EA Sports' Blue Carpet at the Bud Light Hotel in downtown Indianapolis where Jones-Drew talks about how he's got the bragging rights as the best Madden NFL football player in the NFL. INDIANAPOLIS -- Super Week in Indianapolis is in full swing and the biggest party at the big show every year is the Madden Bowl. This year, Madden Bowl XVIII was held at the renamed Bud Light Hotel in downtown Indianapolis where hundreds of NFL past and current players as well as celebrities such as Snoop Dog and Nas showed up to check out the latest EA Sports' football game Madden NFL 12. NFL Great Warren Sapp was in the house participating on the Madden Legends Team and we caught up with the retired defensive back and NFL Analyst in this exclusive video interview on the Bud Light Blue Carpet to talk his participation in Madden Bowl XVIII, Madden NFL 12 and what video games he played back in the day.

Just when you thought the late fourth quarter dramatics had ended, a virtual version of Tebow Time crashed the EA Sports Madden Bowl XVIII party held at the Bud Light Hotel Thursday in Indianapolis.

OTTAWA – NHL All Star Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks won the Skills Challenge Breakaway Challenge donning a Superman cape. The forward didn’t need a cape to win the Stanley Cup the same season he was on the cover of EA Sports’ NHL 10 game. The 2008 NHL Rookie of the Year has been a scoring sensation for the Hawks, along with captain and NHL 11 cover athlete Jonathan Toews. In Ottawa for yet another All Star Game, Kane took some time to talk videogames in this exclusive interview.

Before the New York Giants defeat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI (at least according to the Madden NFL 12 simulation), EA Sports is throwing its annual videogame bash at the Bud Light Hotel. NFL legends past and current will mingle with celebrities. And in addition to the 3-on-3 videogame tournament format, which was introduced last year to incorporate online team play into the mix, there will also be concerts featuring Nas and The Roots. New York’s other quarterback, the Jets’ Jeff Garcia, is a Madden Bowl regular and talks gaming in this exclusive video interview below.

Brandon Marshall set a Pro Bowl record with four touchdown receptions, covering 74, 29, 47 and 3 yards, in the annual Honolulu, Hawaii football contest. Marshall’s 47 yard catch is one for the highlight reel as he kicked the ball to himself while falling into the end zone. The Miami Dolphin receiver finished with six catches for 176 yards. He caught one touchdown pass apiece from Ben Roethlisberger and Phillip Rivers and two from Andy Dalton. Marshall is a big gamer and a regular attendee of EA Sports Madden Bowl before the Super Bowl. He talks gaming off the gridiron in this exclusive video interview below.

OTTAWA -- Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry is coming off a record season in which he scored 50 goals and 98 points. With a Stanley Cup and MVP award already under his belt, Perry was in Ottawa for the 2012 NHL All Star Game. Although he lost to Patrick Kane’s Superman breakaway goal, Perry’s mini-stick routine did come in a close second. Perry also scored his first NHL All Star goal and added an assist to help propel Team Chara to a 12-9 victory over Team Alfredsson in the big game. Perry worked with EA Sports on NHL 10 providing motion capture for the game. He talks about his videogame skills and being an NHL All Star in this exclusive interview.

First off, for the record, I personally wanted a Ravens vs. 49ers Super Bowl.  No offense against the teams that are in there now, but we've seen that match-up before, y'know?  Regardless, the Patriots and Giants will be meeting up for Super Bowl glory this Sunday.  However, EA Sports has already provided its own take on the big game, thanks to Madden NFL 12.  So...who wins?

OTTAWA, QUEBEC – Videogames have always played an important role in NHL All Star Games and Skill Competitions. With 2K Sports out of the hockey simulation game now, EA Sports had the 2012 NHL All Star Game in Ottawa all to itself. The game maker used NHL 12 to showcase each of the skills competitions on Saturday night. And Electronic Arts also used the game to simulate the big game on Sunday. According to NHL 12, Team Alfredsson will continue its winning ways with a 12-10 victory over Team Chara. You can see the simulation in the video below.

While the NHL All Stars are being celebrated in Canada, the National Hockey League (NHL) has signed a  new, multi-year partnership with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors  Authority  (LVCVA)  that  will  see the NHL Awards return to Las Vegas for the next three years.  As part of the extended partnership, which first  began in 2009, the NHL will stage numerous new events throughout the destination  in  conjunction  with  the  League’s annual post-season awards show.   The world-famous Wynn Las Vegas luxury hotel and casino resort will host the 2012 NHL Awards, which will be held on Wednesday, June 20, at the Encore Theater. This event traditionally has been used to announce the cover athlete for EA Sports NHL videogame franchise, including current cover athlete and All Star Steven Stamkos.

OTTAWA, QUEBEC -- The National Hockey League (NHL) is celebrating the greatest hockey players in the world in the land that celebrates hockey this weekend with the 2012 NHL SuperSkills Challenge and All Star Game in Ottawa. Next year, the All Stars will converge back in the United States in the home arena of the Columbus Blue Jackets. The city of Columbus will host the 2013 National Hockey League All-Star Celebration January 24 through January 27 and will include the Molson Canadian NHL SuperSkills and the NHL All-Star Game. Of course, there will be EA Sports NHL 13 videogames throughout the festivities, as well.

OTTOWA -- QUEBEC -- The 2012 Scotiabank NHL Fan Fair, the National Hockey League’s fan experience, will take over more than 100,000 square feet and three levels of the Ottawa Convention Centre in downtown Ottawa from Thursday, Jan. 26 through Saturday, Jan. 28. There will be something for everyone at the three-day, family-friendly festival, including special appearances from former NHL greats and current NHL stars, a display of 19 of hockey’s most-prized trophies including the Stanley Cup, live TV and radio broadcasts, music, food, merchandise locations and dozens of other dynamic activities. EA Sports NHL 12 was on display at the festivities as well.
