The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has expanded the reach of its ratings App to Microsoft Windows Phone 7. This free mobile app, from the organization that assigns age and content ratings for computer and video games, allows easy access to video game ratings and detailed rating summaries.  For parents, it’s as simple as snapping a photo or typing the name of a game to quickly determine if it is right for their family. With the violent video game debate still brewing, this App makes it easy to find out all about any game instantly. Of course, the info is also written right there on the box.

How old is too young for video games? Parents are letting their toddlers get connected in today’s digital world at an earlier age than ever before. There’s a booming business of game devices aimed at kids as young as three years old today. Now a new site, KneeBouncers.com, is now charging parents to let their toddlers play online video games by tapping on the keyboard. The site has come under fire from critics for charging to play games, even though subscriptions are just $20 a year.

TNS, Gamesindustry.com, and SPIL GAMES today announced the launch of the 2009 Today's Gamers International Survey results for the U.S. market. The survey focuses on demographics, time and money spent, and gaming trends across Europe and the United States involving all game platforms.
