News: F-Zero AX/GX Not Connecting

When the F-Zero GX and F-Zero AX compatibility was announced people jumped for joy, well prepare to stop jumping.

In Japan you can play F-Zero GX at home and then take the memory card to the arcade, plug it in and transfer files to the arcade machine. However, this is Japan only.

There will be no transfer capabilities in the West, mainly because the arcade market is not very big in America or Europe. There are also reports that the units are not performing up to expectations.

There is currently no official word from either Sega or Nintendo.
