    @666NightsInHell
    you forget the part where china phones have a crappy processor, so you can't run any game smooth.

    Very cool concept and awesome they're putting it out there, but just like any other app - It's a useless app, like almost all the other ones.

    This is cool. Chat with firends and buy some games when you have down time away from home.

    All they need is voice chat support and this App is beast.

    @Toysoldier34 I'd say a mix of the two. You get a lot of random games for being in the press, but I also buy a lot of stuff as well (like Dustforce).

    @ranbla Uhm, some of us have friends and needed this app to reply to chats and stuff.

    //

    On the other hand it would be awesome to be able to trade!

    I about to get an android phone... I was thinking maybe they had a section for games that could load to your phone. Some on the go Braid would rock. I know how hard that would be, but 5 years ago 3D games on a phone was unheard of.

    Stargate Online people play that too. just putting that out there...

    Steam is fine. I don't see a real need for this app. Sure, it's kind of cool, in a useless sort of way, but that's about it.

    I used to think Steam was a terrible thing, and it was unorganized and annoying. But now, I love it. PC gamers can benefit so much from it. Great game deals, online community options, and more. If you buy a game from Steam or a game that is Steam enabled, Steam recognizes whenever you don't have the game installed on another pc/mac and asks if you want to download and instal it. You never have to pay for a second game if you lose your original and so on.

    I used to buy cheap indie games to complete summer achievements. Now I'm planning to buy an Android phone just to be able to install Steam on it.
    What is wrong with me?!

    @shaunmc Do you buy all the games on your Steam account, is that just a perk from Gamespot, or some mix of the two?

  • maceman1984

    Posted Jan 27, 2012 12:40 am GMT

    @bgghgubcjhgknjk: Where do you see a library option? The only thing close that I could see is when you go into the profile and there are your recently played games, but no option for your full library. Also, its a closed beta, that usually (not always, but usually) means that they are just polishing and ironing out any bugs, not adding features.

    I was looking for this when I first got my iPhone 4S. I wanted an easy way to be able to buy the holiday sales when I was out of town for the holidays. I was able to use the normal browser on my phone to make sure I didn't miss out, just want as smooth as it could have been.

    Shame they didn't try to make an app for WP7 as well >__>

  • bgghgubcjhgknjk

    Posted Jan 26, 2012 11:04 pm GMT

    @Sadek They have already confirmed they are definately not going to release any portable games so I believe this is just going to be the only mobile thing valve will make for sometime.
    @maceman1984 This is only the beta so they may have it in the final version but also if you notice they had a library icon so maybe that's where it is.
    I've personally been waiting for this for ages so when I don't have access to my laptop I can check what my friends have been doing and so I can buy things when they're on sale, Hope they release this in a month or 2

    I am surprised that no one mentioned this, but, wtf?!? No achievements? That is pretty much the only reason that I use a steam mobile app to begin with.

    Neat! I'll download it once it's available to the masses.
