Coming to consoles this Fall, prepared to be scared again with Saw II. As if the series wasn't stopping when it came to the movie, it appears Konami wants to do the same. Saw II was announced and is set to terrify you with new puzzles and ways to die.

Developed by Zombie Studios, SAW 2 puts players in the shoes of Detective Tapp’s estranged son Michael, who is trying to understand his father’s death. Through a series of seemingly unconnected events, Michael finds himself facing the man responsible for his Father’s demise: Jigsaw. As the game progresses, players will face mind-bending puzzles, as they navigate their way through Jigsaw’s terrifying world, and defend themselves against his minions. In order to make it through Jigsaw’s games, players must use their intelligence and desire to live in order to survive.

“The original SAW video game gave horror fans and gamers a new outlet to advance their favorite genre, but left them wanting more,” commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing & PR Director, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “SAW 2 will give it to them, but be careful for what you wish for! Our successful partnership with Lionsgate allows us to advance the survival horror genre, giving players the most intense look into the SAW universe ever.”

Saw II will be appearing on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this year.

It seems that with the help of a ananymous tipster and your Xbox 360, Gears of War 3 was "officially" announced. Apprently as according to the screenshot caught above by Joystiq "The epic story will conclude in April 2011".

No word yet from Epic Games on the confirmation of the subject at hand so for now we peg this as a rumor. A tipster to Edge Online reported some fo the following facts as part of what's going to be in the game.

Gears Of War 3 will shake up the franchise's acclaimed cover system and feature underwater missions for the first time, Edge can reveal.

Developer Epic Games is set to evolve the combat by introducing new Locust foes with tentacle-like appendages which are capable of extending to player cover spots.

Meanwhile, the COG members of Delta Squad will be equipped with explosives that can travel beneath the ground to take out enemy cover positions, our US publishing source told us.

While the first two Gears games offered mobile cover in the form of objects like burnt out cars that could be pushed around, Gears Of War 3 will feature a heavy duty mech suit the COGs can utilise both for protection and to wreak havoc.

The game is also apparently going to be set in the Summer so we will finally see a different color pallette this time. Since we have no official word from Epic Games, this will all be pegged as rumor until we reach Monday for Cliff Bleszinski's reveal on Late Night.
