Two trailers here, one showing the HD remaster of PSP title Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the other the Metal Gear Solid HD Edition. In Japan, that consists of Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, together with the two MSX originals, and a download code for Metal Gear Solid; Peace Walker will be sold separately. In the west, Peace Walker replaces Metal Gear Solid. The collection is set for release in Japan on November 23, and is due in North America and Europe before the end of the year.
1Hideo Kojima took to the stage at Sony's Tokyo Game Show conference earlier today to confirm that Metal Gear Solids 2 and 3 will be released for PlayStation Vita as part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Edition. Zone Of The Enders and its sequel are also headed to Sony's PSP successor, with both collections due next year. Kojima also announced an all-new game, to be built using his Fox Engine, that will be released for both PS3 and Vita.
In a series of tweets, Hideo Kojima has outlined the contents of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection in Japan and the west. The Japanese release will contain Metal Gear Solids 2 and 3, plus a download code for the PlayStation original. As the version of MGS3 included is the 2005 Subsistence release, it also includes updated versions of the MSX's Metal Gear 1 and 2. In the west, the collection is the same, but with the Metal Gear Solid download code replaced by a version of last year's PSP release Peace Walker.
