MK fanatic here! This is bloody awesome! What could this be? I bet it's a promotion for the new game which is rumored to be a reboot!

That should be turned into a movie. Good cast, hot ass Jeri Ryan as Sonya. And Johnny Cage getting His head cut off, a real fatality. Something the original movie lacked.

looks good BUT it dosnt look anything at all to do with mortal kombat apart from the names mortal kombat isnt supposed to be totally realistic looks like who made this too the real world approach which for mortal kombat wont work

cleo2525, you obviously don't know MK. The original MK became a hit because it was extremely realistic with just a touch of fantasy. Most of the characters were humans, with just a few "freaks" thrown in like Reptile, Goror ect. as the series went on it started becoming based more in fantasy than reality.

man this was fucking awesome. this kicks the other stupid MK movies ass. fuck I wish this could be their new movie. its got blood and everything. but then again hopefully this is also the new game. MK vs DC was lame. we totally need a new Mortal Kombat game AND movie. rated R is without a doubt what they need to do this time though. and with more Scorpion!!!! that ninja is the fucking baddest motherfucker in the whole game.

Why would you list Kill Bill (which should actually be Kill Bill vol 2) and The Dark Knight as movies for Michael Jai White? He was only in TDK for a blink of an eye and his scenes in KB 2 were cut from the film. What about Black Dynamite? This is a cool teaser with some killer production value. Could this be a stand alone movie? Don't think so but I do like it as a concept a new MK game.

I think it looks too serious to be a MK movie. LOL! It almost like they want to take MK into the same place as movies like Se7en and Silence of the Lambs. It would be good if it was something original, but MK? Trying to rationalize non-human characters like Reptile and Baraka.... is like rationalizing Yoshi as being a baby T-rex. Uh.....wait a minute!! Still, LOL, this look as bad as that Chun Li Street Fighter movie. If anything, I probably would be able to swallow it more easily had they just chose to cut out all non-human characters and make the movie like Bloodsport, featuring all the characters from the original game(which generally WERE human except Raiden and Scorpion). Baraka and Reptile shouldn't even be IN this movie. What next, feature Goro and say he was born with an extra set of arms because he has a parasitic twin? Is Raiden a guy who fight with an amped up stungun?

my two favorite characters (baraka and reptile) made a feature in this short feature....and I was disappointed because while reptile was beastly he wasn't beastly enough and showed too little and Baraka's facial features are too morphed compared to even the games(I loved his erratic fighting style in this, I love characters with erratic fighting styles). I liked the SubZero make up, If midway is doing this I support them. I just hope they catch things like that "Sonya blade" thing cause they could have just simply with "Detective Blade" and got away with it. they can use this style just input a little more fantasy and I say they got a new MK game especially if they can do full body captures of their cast they get to do these scenes for in game models and have the most realistic(in terms of graphics) fantasy(in terms of gameplay) fighter out

as for MJW I would have Mentioned the universal solider he was in which showed his physicality, black dynimate to show you how campy he could be and Spawn cause hell it's spawn

After watching this, I literally just jumped up and down and SCREAMED. Ahha, fuck man I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan have been since a little kid. Can't believe Hollywood thought up such an original way to bring back Mortal Kombat. FUCK!!!!
