For an eye-opening look at the origins of Planned Parenthood (founded by Margaret Sanger) & the close connection between the birth control & eugenic movements, I highly recommend my friend Angela Frank’s book, Margaret Sanger’s Eugenic Legacy: The Control of Female Fertility: http://www.angelafranks.com/

This video makes a powerful impact, particularly alongside the disturbing Margaret Sanger quote I saw it published with at Bad Catholic this past weekend.

I’ve always rankled at liberals claiming that conservatives are racist. To my way of thinking, I see the biggest effort of racism toward blacks has always been liberals with their pushing of Planned Parenthood and the welfare mentality they support that blacks (and other minorities) can’t help themselves so the government needs to come in and “save them.” Just my opinion.
This moved me to tears…
I think b/c my world is so “small”...growing up in a Midwestern suburb…attending college in a rural American town…raising children in a one-stoplight town…my “world” is mostly White…and therefore when I think of abortion I think of the high school teen afraid of disappointing their parents…or the college student fearful of “ruining” their life, thus running to Planned Parenthood.
I never stopped to think of Planned Parenthood as an assassin of Black Americans.
Wow.
