Foreach recreates entire booking system of RestoBookings.be
RestoBookings.be is an online platform through which people can look for restaurants and make restaurant reservations at the same time using a built-in- module. The purpose of the website is to smoothen the reservation procedure for restaurant owners and for their clients. So it’s no surprise that usability is one of the keywords of this project.
The former implementation of the RestoBookings module wasn’t stable enough to assure the proper working of the platform, especially not when RestoDays takes place (see http://www.foreach.com/news/foreach-contributes-success-restodays-2011). Because on average 38.000 bookings are made through the website during this period and the number is still climbing.
Foreach made sure that the current RestoBookings module is stable and user friendly (for clients and restaurant owners), but also that the e-mail and optional SMS communication between RestoBookings and the customer runs flawless. The extra assignment for Foreach was to create a business backend that can generate reports and invoices so the entire process can run automatically in the end.
