Information

Long ago, Medeus, king of the Mamcoot race, ruled the world with an iron fist and the armies of the Doluan Empire. The priests called upon the gods for help, and the gods listened. The Falchion Sword and Shield of the Fire Emblem were forged by the Gods and passed to Anri, who slayed Medeus and restored peace.

Chapter 1

The Fire Emblem gems have passed into the hands of the leaders of neighbouring kingdoms, and the Falchion Sword is in the hands of young Prince Marth. But a plot to revive Medeus has led to war. Marth and a small band of loyal soldiers have escaped to the island of Talis. Together they must restore the Fire Emblem and face Medeus the Mamcoot.

Chapter 2

With Medeus defeated, he returned to his homeland to rebuild, returning the Fire Emblem gems to their original homes. But once again war had arrived. A former ally, Hardin, had started persecuting the nations who had allied themselves with the Doluan armies. Marth set out with his army to investigate these disturbing occurrences.

The third game in the Fire Emblem series comes in two parts. The first chapter is a remake of the original Fire Emblem, and the second chapter is a new continuation of the story.

You are presented with a map, containing your allied forces and a number of enemy troops. You have to move your troops across the map and issue them with orders. You are given an aim on the map, such as taking out all of the enemies, taking control of a key area, or holding off the enemy for a certain number of turns. By lining up your characters next to the enemy you can initiate a battle. The outcome is entirely decided on the stats and class of yours and the enemy character. If one of your characters is defeated in battle then they will remain defeated for the rest of the game.

Along the way you can talk to secondary characters by visiting village and armouries. This is the best way to accumulate information. weapons and items to help you win the map. You may also be able to recruit new members for your troop in certain stages.
