There are several public tours available at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Listed below are a variety of ways to tour the museum's facilities.

Special arrangements can be made for school and youth groups, motorcoach tours and military reunion groups. Click on the links below for more information.
tabSelf Tours 
The museum is laid out in chronological order, beginning with the Wright brothers through today's stealth fighters, making it easy for visitors to self tour the facility. Click here for a virtual tour of the museum (including audio) to help you plan your visit.
tabUSAF Heritage Tours 
Heritage Tours are regularly scheduled, free guided tours of the museum that are open to the general public. Tours are offered daily at 1:30 p.m., with an additional tour at 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays. All tours begin at the entrance to the Early Years Gallery (through the Gift Shop and turn right). Advance registration is not necessary.
tabBehind the Scenes Tours 
Behind the Scenes Tours are regularly scheduled, free guided tours of the museum's restoration area. Participants are shuttled to the restoration hangars, located about one mile from the main museum complex. Tours are offered every Friday (some exceptions) at 12:15 p.m. Advanced registration is required, and registrations are currently being taken for tours through May 2012. Sign up early as tours may fill up quickly! To register, please select a date from the list below and submit a registration form or call (937) 656-9436. Additional instructions are included on the form.

Note: Registration is now full for certain tours (see below). A limited number of "stand-by" registrations are available on the day of each tour. Please check with the information desk upon your arrival at the museum.

tabPresidential and R&D; Galleries 
The Presidential and Research & Development/Flight Test Galleries, located on the controlled-access portion of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, are accessible using the shuttle bus service from the main museum complex. This service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up early as buses fill up quickly! Click here to read the requirements for visiting these galleries (government-issued ID and check-in required).
tabMotorcoach Visits 
Working with the museum's motorcoach coordinator will enable your organization to have questions answered through one source. The coordinator is available to send museum information, answer questions regarding the facility, and schedule your organization for an IMAX movie, lunch at the cafĂ©, and a personal Motorcoach Walk-on Welcome upon your arrival. tabMilitary Reunions 
Hundreds of reunion groups visit the museum every year. If you would like information about your military reunion visit to the National Museum of the United States Air Force or about dedicating a plaque, bench or statue in Memorial Park, please see the Military Reunions page on this website.
tabSchool & Youth Groups 
The museum also has an extensive educational program for all ages. Programs include guided tours, informational scavenger hunts, in-depth lectures, workshops and more. For information about educational programs at the museum, please visit the Education portion of this website.
