Robyn, this was simple, wonderful and at the same time very powerful. It was very relevant in todays society, when technology gives children so many distractions that can become hindrances to quiet times to think about God and how He should be present in our lives. Great job done by all!
Turn Off the Noise

I am studying for my post master’s certificate at Holy Apostles College. One of the classes that I took this semester was Catechetics (with a dynamite teacher, Sr. Mary Anne Linder, FSE). This class was helpful and inspiring for all of us who are teaching CCD in the local parishes.
For our final project we had to read C.S. Lewis’s Screwtape Letters and rewrite one of the letters in a creative way. With the help of my tech savvy sister, my artistic mother and talented niece and nephews, I put together a stop-motion video highlighting some of the themes from Letter VII.
I know that the Holy Spirit was the main director because this video came out better than I could have ever imagined.
I’m so excited to share this video with you! I hope it could be used as a unique catechetical tool in the classroom and that the message could be spread far and wide (go the the youtube page for an explanation of the video).
I would love to hear what you think of the video. Please leave me your feedback.
Enjoy!

My two youngest sons and I watched this twice! We really enjoyed it and could relate how the devil tempts us all with the computer, tv, phone, music, etc. It’s a constant struggle to do what we should and pray as we ought. Thank you for reminding us. Watching a dead fire is a very apt description of the internet, don’t you think?
Maybe try going directly to the youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51WFaBl5RQQ&feature=player_embedded
The problem might be with the settings on your computer. Hope you are able to view it!
