Tiny Little Things

(yet another) reminder to savor

Last night a variety of factors converged in a sleep trainwreck: Linus and Ambrose both awoke every two hours all night long.

Six wakeups each times two babies. Do that piece of math and you’ll understand why I crawled out of bed in a stupor this morning.

But blessedly, I checked my email soon afterward and found a message from a dear aunt whose two boys are now in their twenties. She’d gotten our... READ MORE

A Murmuration of Starlings

something beautiful for the weekend

Don’t tell me these birds are not dancing!

Murmuration from Sophie Windsor Clive on Vimeo.

Matthew 10:29:

Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

With a polite nod to ninme.

Zoo Babies

Here’s something wonderful.

A friend just told me about ZooBorns.

Page after page of animal babies from around the world, including exotic species you’ve never heard of.

Squeal!

Clean Streak

because we all do windows

There are certain products out there I love, can’t live without. There are also those products that I can clearly see as ridiculous.

Sometimes, however, I just can’t be sure. This is how I am currently feeling about Windex Wipes. I eye them at the store, or think about them as I clean, and wonder. I know they seem like a waste of money, I’ll muse, but then again, maybe not?

Have you tried Windex Wipes, or something similar? If so, did they rock your world? If you’re one of the scores of women who would never spend your money on this product, that’s okay. I really want to hear from someone who has actually purchased the wipes—and find out if it was great or totally overrated. I feel like maybe they would be worth my $3. But maybe not.

Akimiski Island

A photo for the Lord's Day

An island off the coast of Ontario as seen from a satellite.

Go here to see this photo in the huge scale it deserves—and for more satellite pictures of our amazing planet.

Which is your favorite? Mine might be the God’s-eye view of Tibet—it looks like frost on a window-pane.
