Can anyone explain why IGN hates everything Kinect, I never liked wii and I love my controller but I have so much fun with friends and fam playing kinect. I love shooters and RPG's too, but its fun to be able to play thing with my fam and friends as well. Have an open mind its not hard core its silly fun Xbox needed and am all for it.

I honestly cannot tell you why anyone hates Kinect. Sure it's not for everyone. There are a lot of games I would not want to use my Kinect with. But it is an inventive idea that actually works pretty well (most of the time, when I was using Kinect Fun Labs last night to create an avatar of my self, the avatar was black with long hair. I'm white with very short hair.) I don't use it all the time, but I use it when it's plauseable. I'll be using it with the new "gunsmith" feature in Ghost Recon, voice commands in Mass Effect 3 (I won't be using it to do the dialog options, that just doesn't seem to be implemented well, since Sheppard still speaks the chioce of dialog after you choose it)

And even though the new Star Wars game isn't all that great, it doesn't look horrible either. Being a Star Wars Fan since the early 80's (82-83) I would never miss this game.

I think people hate on it because A) They are PS3 Fanboys, and they are not only jealous that the 360 came out with inovative tech, while they get a WII ripoff, they hate anything from MS. or B) because they are too fat (or) lazy to try to involve any sort of movement.

From most all kinect haters, I think it is a fear of change. Whenever there is something major added to the equation, it will be hated. It isn't like they are going to stop with the hardcore games, but that fear is still there. Times are changing and its time to get high-tech. I'm sure somewhere in the future there will be hologram gaming environments, and I'm sure it will probably be hated too. As long as there are those who agree with the change, then I think kinect will find its place in society. Probably not now, but few months down the road it will be better for the kinect owners.

Exactly. I'm a huge gamer but like to try and maintain a fairly active lifestyle as well and if i'm honest I love the Kinect. Kinect sports is a LOT of fun and is in my opinion the best 'motion' game out there (including all Wii / Move games). The hatred for Kinect probably comes from the fact that a lot of the games flat out suck. If they were all as good as Kinect Sports and Dance Central there'd probably be a lot more love out there for it.

Its simple Kinect is ****ing ****. Thats why IGN hates it.

I've been playing Kinect all night with my younger cousin, Kinect Sports is fucking awesome! Anyway, the reason I think people don't like it is because "It's not cool", in there eyes anyway. I mean, the trailer are way too cheesy and could put anyone right off it, you honestly have to just give it a chance and play with some friends and family... until later titles come out like Ryes and of course, Star Wars!!!

The Kinect is just an apprentice, soon (in a galzcy far, far away) it will become a master.

kinect doesn't suck. kinect is quite good fun actually. if more people actually TRIED it, rather than bashing on it, they may like it.
and by the way, i kinda thought ign didn't like kinect too. i guess its not just me who thought that way. they like dance central and kinect sports though, although i don't understand why greg miller does the kinect reviews (some) seeing as he is a PS fanboy

at the moment in not a big fan of kenittec either.. ims ure it will improve in time, as well as the games... but right now... i feel its current uses do not apeal to many gamers, including me.

They hate it because its F###ing s##te thats why. Its a pile of crap and its ruining the 360 brand. Kinect is going to be an expensive paper weight for 360 fans just like the HD-DVD addon.

They are Hardcore gamers and really prefer blood gore violence, or a deep challenging game (ie: Mario and Zelda from Nintendo). Really, most Video Game sites are the same. I do like some Hardcore games, but as a father of small children, I like family friendly games as well.

what i love about the kinect is that there's so many games that i can play with my wife or family. my wife and i took our kinect to my moms house and played all day with her step kids and my wife and mom hate games but they loved the kinect. i do wish there were more games with awesome factor but i enjoy bad games as much as good ones because it's all about the experience.

i was surprised by the kinect disneyland review, it not only sounded like the reviewer enjoyed it but they had no real complaints about it. sometimes they make huge complaints about the littlest things.
