By Justin Ramos | PC Articles | Jan 8, 2012 11:06 AM | Comment

You can never have enough weapons. Even if you never use them, the knowledge that they're out there and available to be picked up and stabbed into the nearest hostile bandit or saber cat helps us all sleep better at night. To that end, we present you with the keys to an upgraded arsenal of Skyrim weaponry, including ornate axes, fine imported Morrowind glass, and crossover hits from other games. Oh yeah: and freakin' lightsabers. Read More »

Can it be? Diablo III to release on February 1st? [Update: Probably Not]

By Dan Stapleton | PC News | Jan 7, 2012 5:39 PM | Comment

Update: A Blizzard community manager has implied on Twitter that this Best Buy has gone rogue, saying "We can't really keep every individual retail shop from making up a date." Looks like a false alarm.

I don't usually put any trust in release dates given by stores when they haven't been confirmed by a game's publisher, but in this case there might be something to it. Best Buy apparently feels confident enough that Diablo III will be released on February 1st that it's made an elaborate poster (featuring a countdown timer) promoting a launch event, and then put it out where it could be photographed by a Diablo III forumite. That's right: we could very well be playing Diablo III in less than one month. But again, there's no word from Blizzard confirming this, and until there is, I'm not circling the date on my calendar. By Dan Stapleton | PC Articles | Jan 7, 2012 3:30 PM | Comment

MechWarrior Online Blog Divulges Intel Warfare

By Dan Stapleton | PC News | Jan 5, 2012 5:00 PM | Comment

As the old saying goes, "Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes." However, in the giant-battle-robot dominated future, you'll see the whites of their electronic eyes a lot better, from much further away, in the dark, and through solid objects if you're using a handy gadget like MechWarrior Online's Magnetometer Assisted Targeting Mode module, as detailed in the Information Warfare update on the MWO blog. I admit, that does sound like something I wouldn't want to leave home without first plugging into my BattleMech's cigarette lighter outlet. Read More »
