agreed Minecraft one of these innovative games... yes I would picture others on its place but none of them was like Minecraft

A 2010 game being nominated 2011 best... What a slap in the face to every other game released since then. Minecraft is good, but damn have some consideration.

now its official GT went crazy...lost in the darkness...what a bullshit...LBP2 wasn't even nominee?...for God sake...LBP2 deserve this...its so obvious.

I don't play MineCraft myself, but I've seen it in action. Not my type of game (because I don't have that much time to spend) but I can definitely recognize it deserved this.

I thought LA Noire's tech was going to take this award hands down, but GT throws me a curve and hands it to Minecraft. Looks like it was a worthy choice.

I haven't watched the video yet but I'm assuming GT picked MW3...

I don't know if most people know but the concept of minecraft is not at all original, there were some games like that already on the pc, it just took it's concepts and made great atmosphere, eerie soundtrack and stylized graphics. Much like some games such as Uncharted, a refined experience. But not at all original. Should be nominated for something else.

it was still a Beta. Official release was in November or December.

Wasn't "Minecraft" released more than a year ago? Wasn't it nominated last year and won several awards?
