damn i was hoping bastion would win :/ but L.A. Noire is a great game too

I wouldn't mind seeing a brink sequel. i feel that game was unsupported by bethesda due to their focus on getting id tech 6 to produce RAGE and Skyrim's creation engine. Consequently, Brink inherented the old id5 engine and had to heavily mod it, and thus resulted in the launch issues. the game had so realy smart design choices that were hampered by lacking substance, but more punlisher support could fix that.

YES! Good on you, GT! This game deserved this. Anyone that gave it a chance, and liked a challenge beyond reflexes, loved it. I can't wait for a new one (probably next gen, but still). This award makes up for best mp game to me.

Just because there won't be a sequel doesn't disqualify it IMO, even if it is just a one off (which the industry may benefit from doing more of), it can still be the best based on merits.

No Dead Island? There's not even going to be a sequel to LA Noire because of all the studio issues, how can it be the best new IP?

Yes, use the tech to make other games. I don't want to see a sequel to L.A. Noire, as it would be totally out of place.

LA Noire over Bastion, yeah that makes a lot of sense.
