Victoria's Secret announced yesterday that it would be launching a high-end designer collection to replace the outside, upscale brands it currently sells, and WWDreports that a lot of it has already sold out online. The whole thing has been very much a Secret, as some of the collection's "key items" were snuck into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show alongside things like this.
Here's a fun little fact, brought to you by the kind folks behind SmoothGroove: Did you know that "a staggering 55% of women, irrespective of age, size or weight, experience camel toe at some point"? Yes, a staggering 55%. SmoothGroove, as you've probably deduced, is a camel toe prevention device, and basically it's a polymer cup for women that you shove in your too-tight leggings to prevent looking like, well, Google it.
There are three different colors to choose from (black, white, and clear), and it comes in a "discreet" satin pouch. It's washable, thank god, and they say it's "extremely comfortable." Perhaps the most interesting element here, though, is that now Camelflage—a $19.99 pair of underwear that also fights against the dreaded hoof—has some competition.

You know Frank—he's been writing about menswear, sales, television, new shops, the recession, Lisa Loeb, the Golden Girls and getting blasted for Racked for over two years. Well, we think it's time you got to know him and his quirky-irreverent views on life and fashion even better with his column: Love, Frank. Taking the form of an open letter and always signed with love, Frank will rant about whatever style-related conundrum he encounters in a given week. So buckle your two-toned leather Moschino belts, folks, it's going to be Something.
Dear Stylish British Event Television,
God bless you—collectively, you're one of only a few things getting me through this already so long but still so young winter.
I speak here of new episodes of Absolutely Fabulous. The first of three new 20th anniversary episodes of AbFab has already aired on BBC America and Logo; the second has aired in the UK (in other words, the internet savvy can watch right now if they're so inclined). And, well, both episodes are just pitch perfect, total candy. Most refreshing—how unabashedly wealthy and monetarily fancy-free—Edina still is. Generally stagnant finances don't even come up. The general tone: "What recession?"
ONLINE SHOPPING—Edition01 had just acquired a handful of vintage Chanel, Hermès, and Judith Leiber bags. They'll only be up for three days, and several are already sold out, so we suggesting signing up now. [Racked Inbox]
FACEBOOK—The Bonobos team is apparently tired of their hold music, so they're asking for help in picking some new tunes. Head to their Spotify account and drag in what you'd like to hear while you wait to pitch your own pickup lines for future pairs of these pants. [Bonobos/Facebook]
Good news for those waiting with bated breath for the date of 2012's Fashion's Night Out: Our sister site reports that it will be taking place on September 6th. They also provided a tip if you're planning on braving the crowds: "Resign yourself to the fact that you're not going to be able to get a cab, anywhere, and participate. One word of advice: Pick one place that's not going to attract a gazillion people and stay there—preferably somewhere that's not going to run out of Champagne by 8pm." [Racked NY]
If you thought engagement chicken was being direct, Tiffany & Co. has proven to you—and all of us, really—that nothing is more powerful than the internet when it comes to strong-arming your boyfriend into proposing. Or just buying you expensive presents.
The Avengers--the superhero flick starring everyone from Robert Downey Jr to Scarlett Johansson to Samuel L. Jackson--comes out this spring. But if you can't wait that long, fragrance company JADS International has something to tide you over: Avengers cologne. Considering that JADS previously did Star Wars and Star Trek-themed scents, they pretty much have a lock on the sci-fi fragrance market.
The six scents are inspired by and named after the superheroes in the movie, such as "Smash" (that would be the one for the Hulk, of course) and "Patriot" (Captain America). And don't be bummed if your favorite superhero (or your boyfriend's) didn't make the cut this time: JADS already has Spiderman and Deadpool fragrances in the works, with more to come (when major Hollywood franchises get cast, probably).

What with the launch of Karl Lagerfeld's KARL line at Net-a-Porter today, it looks like Karl's publicity people finally got the fashion master a Twitter account. Sadly, however, even though Karl is known for his quotable bon mots, so far it looks like the feed is just marketing messages written by someone on one of his many staffs.
Call us when Karl starts tweeting; until then, we'll be tuned in to @FakeKarl.

We were scanning our Twitter feed this morning when this apology tweet from H&M; caught our eye:
We’re very sorry about our CS team’s answer, it's unfortunate and we apologize for it. We're in direct contact with Tori LaConsay.
Who the hell is Tori LaConsay?, we wondered. Turns out, she is a 32-year-old Birmingham-based illustrator and designer who probably just got her work ripped off by the Swedish company.
We don't even feel bad keeping it alive in this case. "Shit OscarPRGirl Says"—starring stylist Andrew Mukamel, Erica Domesek of the blog P.S. I Made This, and John Jannuzzi of Textbook, in case you didn't recognize them with all that hair—is hilarious. Enjoy.

Two dresses from Doo-Ri Chung's capsule collection for Macy's Impulse
Despite the hooha high-low designer collabs have been known to cause, the actual clothing doesn't always translate into real life, so much. So it's nice to note that Doo-Ri Chung's capsule for Macy's Impulse is not just pleasantly affordable, it's also totally wearable.
If you blink, you might just miss the bulk of the above teaser video for Victoria Beckham's first collection of her diffusion line, Victoria by Victoria Beckham. As of now, it's only clear what one of the dresses looks like, and it's safe to say that it's very unVIctoria Beckham. It's loose, there are three tiers of bright colors, and we don't see a Louboutin in sight.
On Monday, the full short film will be shown in the windows at Harvey Nichols in London, and we hear that Victoria herself makes a cameo in it, but what we really want to know is if David and his abs will share the spotlight in a supporting role. The Telegraphreports that the "affordable sister line" will still be kind of pricey: Dresses will retail between $780 to $1,250, but that's still far cheaper than a $30,000 bag.
