Overview

Since joining ADB in 1995, Uzbekistan has received 35 loans totaling $1.95 billion and $43.2 million in grant technical assistance. In 2010, ADB provided assistance totaling $656 million in support of priority infrastructure development in the energy, transport and water supply sectors and small and medium-sized enterprises. Uzbekistan is ADB's largest client in the region by the number of loans and the 14th largest borrower. Overall, Uzbekistan is the 15th largest shareholder among ADB's regional members.
