250 Gigabyte Kinect-Free Xbox 360 Delayed

A couple of days back, Microsoft announced a new 250 gigabyte Liquid Black Xbox 360 model. This model differed from the currently available model in that it did not come bundled with Kinect.

Today, Microsoft announced that it will be delaying the new model's release. It had originally been announced for release some time in 2011 (which ends on Saturday). The new date is TBA.

Impress Watch reports that the issue causing the delay is related to certain incorrect markings on the system's packaging. The site asked Microsoft if they'll be redoing the packaging or if they'll just cover up the incorrect areas with stickers and were told "We can make absolutely no comment."
