Do you 'enjoy' spending time with your kids?
- Yes, most of the time we really have fun together
- Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's really dull and aggravating
- Honestly most of the time it's not fun at all, but it's not supposed to be fun
- I really don't enjoy it at all, and wish I could spend less time with them

[-]Applying for middle school for dc that has an IEP w/OT and PT. IEP does not indicate CTT as present school doesn't offer it. Just learned that dc may be eligible for CTT in middle school. What are the pros and cons of CTT class, particularly in UL or Salk? TIA.

[-]Hi. Live in Rye (Westchester) and my son has qualified to received Early Intervetion services. We have to select an agency to coordinate and provide services. Would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you in advance.
1 reply [ Reply | Watch | MoreYou didn't mention why dc is receiving services, but if you are getting the actual therapy from an established center, the agency is irrelevant. For us, DC had hearing loss issues. We were getting excellent therapy from experienced places (NYU, League for HoH) so the agency was more or less a rubber stamp.

[-]My DC hasnt got a learning disability but has other fine/gross motor delays, speech/feeding issues. She is in a typically developing school and seems happy although she is described as "reserved". We are looking at YAI Gramercy Integrated program. There is only one special ed teacher and a para with 16 kids half typically developing. Current school ratio is 6:1 but probably wont allow a Seit but would try for center based services. DC liked Gramercy but dont know if we got in if the Integrated Program is better for her. Anyone else BHDT. Im a mess over this. So afraid of not doing the best thing for my DC--she had a rough start and is a miracle like all of our kids. TIA

[-]Can anyone recommend a psychologist for 7 yo dd, who has selective mutism and adhd. We need someone mainly for the selective mutism, someone who will really take an interest in her case and who has experience with sm in NYC. Hoping for someone who will also be able to advocate a little for her in school, as we are having some difficulties now. TIA!!!

Also, I would ask Dr. Joseph Nieder, who is a child psychiatrist, UES on Third and 88th. Graf is a child and adult psychologist. They are both excellent.
