If anything, it showcases exactly how successful more traditional games can be on Apple's products, and we should fully expect the floodgates to open. [Issue#105, p.114]

Infinity Blade is certainly a demonstration of all the power that Apple platforms hide. Fantastic graphics, animations and sound to match, with a pinch of gore. As I mentioned, some will find the experience frustrating, others may find it a good challenge with an uncompromised gameplay.

Not just a tech demo, but a cleverly designed time waster that creates an absorbing challenge out of its apparently limited mechanics.

Infinity Blade as it stands now is simply an intriguing test of a very promising technology. I'm not sure that you'll get your $6 of fun from Infinity Blade, but if you want to impress your friends, this is the app to buy.

No matter how much the games dresses things up, the endless battles get repetitive after a while. You're performing the exact same moves throughout the game.

  1. To start the graphics are the best i've seen on the iphone. The game is super repetitive but does it in a way that makes it fun. The bloodlines only take like 20 minutes at most. So it's meant to be that you go through them at least 20 times. With the update that has arena mode which includes multiplayer and survival all for 2.99 makes this game a must buy!! only reason it's not a 10 is i don't like how they made the bloodline so short and each cut scene is pretty much the same. 2. Gameplay is ridiculously stale, touch controls just don't work in this one. While the visuals are great, The game is short, repetitive, and feels like a half-assed effort. But I guess that's the best you can do on iOS. Full Review »
  3. Great visuals, fair storyline. The gameplay is good and polished, but the prices of the items are quite high. That's wouldn't be a problem if the game would have been longer. But it's very short. Forcing the player to play over and over again the same thing. Apart from the secret content, there isn't much else you can do. That said, the game itself is still very fun and even short for a game in general, it's pretty long for a IOS game. Full Review »
