Bourdain is starting his own publishing line with Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.

Nice. Love him and think he's incredibly smart, funny, and not hard on the eyes.

I really enjoy watching Anthony Bourdain on the Travel channel. Other than the crappy shows he did in Italy and Black Africa, most of his shows have been extremely entertaining and informative. I wish he had more travel and food shows on TV. I like how he has not puplicly allowed his popularity to go to his head, unlike people such as Molto Mario - kind of goofy looking and wat too fat - Rachael Ray - can't STAND her, extremely irritating - Paula Dean - I'll choke if she says 'y'all' one more time - and Giada Delaurentiis - way too prissy and bordering on a total fake - and Emeril Lagasse - he looks like his head is about to EXPLODE on TV. Give us suffering viewers more of Tony or folks like Tony! And Jamie Oliver from Britain as well!

It is interesting to watch him from the beginning of his series, through to the latest out. He is a great voice to society, from a food angle. My favorite program is the one on the island of the uber wealthy asian man, who wanted to do his own food show. Doesn't get more genuine than that. :)

What's not to like with this fellow? He's witty and has a sense of sacred and sacrilege (when appropriate). He makes me laugh and he makes me think -- I watch his program to hear about food and when the program ends, I have learned so much more. His travelogue encompasses history, culture, politics and and human interest. Again, what's not to like. (In particular, I loved his program on Sardinia (his wife's native land))

Sweet. I always like it when people use their acquired fame and power to help others share that opportunity.
