Dance Description:

This dance was named after the popular children’s dolls, The Cabbage Patch Kids. The dance involves putting your hands together in the form of fists and moving them in a circular motion on a horizontal plane. The dance became vastly popular, mostly due to its ease to learn. The dance was originally featured in the song “The Cabbage Patch” by the Gucci Crew II, but was mentioned in songs by Dr. Dre and DJ Tella, as well.

By 1987, the Cabbage Patch dance was showing up in many dance clubs across America. The song received most of its popularity from Jerry Rice of the San Francisco 49ers when he used it as his end zone dance in the 1990s.
