Celebrations Announcement Information

PLEASE READ the following information about charges, deadlines, photos and requirements:

Photo and text charges

There is a charge to run a photo plus a charge to run the text (words):

One column wide article and photo:

• $2.65 per column line in the announcement (the words) -- this is for an article that is 1 column wide.
  A line usually contains four or five words.
• $45.08 to run a photo that will be 1 column wide -- approximately wallet-size -- in the newspaper.

Two columns wide article and photo:

• $90.16 to run a very large photo that will be 4 inches wide x 3.5 inches tall in the newspaper.
  The photo will be two columns wide.
• The announcement under the photo will also be two columns wide at a charge of $5.30 per line.
• $90.16 to run BOTH a wedding photo and a current photo of a couple having an ANNIVERSARY.

**People submitting anniversaries of 50 years or more will receive a 20 percent discount off the total price.

**People submitting a birthday of 100 years or more will receive a 20 percent discount off the total price.

Payment deadline:

• I will call or e-mail you to let you know the charge as soon as I get the item written and merged with the photo in our computer system -- you will probably hear from me regarding the charge on Wednesday (before the Sunday it runs).
• PAYMENT IS REQUIRED BEFORE THE ITEM RUNS IN THE NEWSPAPER: Payment is due no later than NOON THURSDAY before it runs in the Sunday paper. If payment is not received by this deadline, the item will not run that Sunday. Payment with your credit card number over the phone is the easiest, quickest way to accomplish this.

Photos:

• You can submit a real photo -- color or black and white and any size from wallet size up to an 8" x 10". If you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope we will return your photo.
• Or you or your photographer can e-mail the photo to me. If you scan in the photo, scan it in at 300 dpi and put it into the JPG format. In your e-mail, be sure to tell me the names of the couple in the photo.
• I would like to have the photo and information 10 days prior to Sunday publication, if possible.
