    Massively unrealistic.

No one's wife walks like that.

  • area881 #2 4 weeks ago

Maybe because your wife has only one leg and it's made out of wood?

  • Armoured_Gideon #3 4 weeks ago

    Dead wrong.

Both her legs are made out of wood BUT I LOVE HER JUST THE SAME

  • HeNiCiDe1988 #4 4 weeks ago

    sigh

  • Murby #5 4 weeks ago

    Lovely!

  • gribb #6 4 weeks ago

Wow that was depressing! Seriously though there were some really nice ideas there. A lot better than the vapid hollywood-styled shooters we usually get...

Nice video, but I don't really see that being much fun to play if it really turns out like that.

Would be nice to see a new Rainbow Six game as launch titles for Xbox...720? and PS4

Enemy of US govt - Jihadists, games have heavy-handed Jihadist villains.
Enemy of US govt. anti-capitalists. Games have heavy-handed anti-capitalist villains.
I don't see the drum circle though.

  • OllyJ #9 4 weeks ago

that Skyrim trailer can fuck off now.

  • oceanmotion #10 4 weeks ago

You know it's a Tom Clancy game when those shitty TV news segments pop up. Move on Ubisoft, they were rubbish to begin with.

Game looks awful. QTE, see through cars. They even had the nerve to say it wasn't linear hold you hand Call of Duty. I expect a linear game with pointless QTEs and decisions that effect nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The futuristic HUD Ubisoft seem to think is the best thing since sliced breed has never been anything but annoying.

  • Brev2034 #11 4 weeks ago

@oceanmotion I would rather have a game with qte and see through cars and a futuristic hud than the rubbish cod has heaped on us since world at war

  • Stranded87 #12 4 weeks ago

Some seriously shonky voice acting and writing in that, and the whole thing was kind of naff. If it plays like Rainbow Six though then I'll still be buying it.

  • coolbritannia #13 4 weeks ago

Was I the only one who put birthday, sexy walking wife, doorbell and knowing look back at hubby, together to come to a much sexier end to that video?

  • BOBBYLUPO #14 4 weeks ago

That's a pretty shoddy birthday right there.

  • daviddcsnk #15 4 weeks ago

@oceanmotion do you even know what 'target game play footage' means? How can you say the game looks awful? The whole point is to produce a rough mock up of what they eventually want the game play to be like.

  • oceanmotion #16 4 weeks ago

They could do a lot better. Mock ups for one usually are way better than this. Look back to Ghost Recon AW and compare that to the game you got.

I understand people looking for something that isn't COD but like BF3 this QTE stuff to have an impact during game play is dull beyond belief.

I stick by the future hud stuff, I don't think that has added any fun to the Tom Clancy series.

What happens if you don't blow out the candle?

  • siegarettes #20 4 weeks ago

Adam Jensen? Is that your voice I hear?

  • digitalash #21 4 weeks ago

Who put Heavy Rain in my Rainbow Six? There were a lot of good ideas in there, if it ends up that consistently creative I would play that any day over re-hashed military shooters.

  • jonbwfc #22 4 weeks ago

    Rainbow 6 : Heavy Rain.

  • Ledd #23 4 weeks ago

    Yes, it's Elias Toufexis

  • inutaihanyou #24 3 weeks ago

So a few guys break into a house and strap a bomb to an innocent civi, and then intend to blow up Timesquare/Brooklyn Bridge?

What does that have to do with Corporate concentration of power or their hand in controlling the government?? Furthermore, what will that accomplish? Why would people decide that that was the only way to "fix" the problem?

I'm only assuming that these people have enough intelligence to understand what the problem in the US is with just the explanation that Ubisoft has given so far.

I've heard of shaky scenario's but this really stretching it.

  • bdc #25 3 weeks ago

Not actual gameplay - so what's the point, what was the trailer I just saw then? A made-up fabrication?

  • Alivada #26 3 weeks ago

I enjoyed the darker tone more than; america saves the world from russians.

But this isn't actual gameplay so I do want to know more.
And please god let terroist hunt still be in.

  • photoboy #27 3 weeks ago

That looks very cool. I really like how it starts out like something from Heavy Rain and then it all goes to hell.

I just hope there's room for the storyline to branch, for example the guy in the suicide vest could decide to kill the terrorists by letting go of the trigger or the Rainbow Six team could perhaps defuse the vest if they get to him fast enough.

IIRC the release date is 2013. Seems odd for it to be so far off. Surely we'll all be playing on Xbox 720s and PS4s by then, so these target renders are probably nowhere near representative of how the graphics could look!

  • muha #28 3 weeks ago

OK. The cake is a lie for sure.

  • Canyarion #29 3 weeks ago

@bdc Yeah I also noticed the "not actual gameplay footage" message. =/

Oh and I think I found why she walks funny. Don't ever let your wife get a baby people.

  • MattEdWithCheese #30 3 weeks ago

Killzone 2's target render... ...was achieved in the final product...

  • KayTannee #31 3 weeks ago

I quite like the moral, and emotional tug they're aiming for here. And like the idea, but feel suits a different game.

Maybe Im still wishing the series will return to the classic slow paced tactical routes. Where theres an objective and theres planning. And it boarderlines on a stragtergy game. Since rainbow 6 hit consoles it seriously nose dived, or 'changed', depending on your preference.

  • Hindle #32 3 weeks ago

    Is that in game footage?

  • Jyan91 #33 3 weeks ago

Haha! adam jensen as both a rainbow six and a terrorist?

  • 32768Colours #34 3 weeks ago

I thought it looked pretty good. Hard to tell from just that clip (being a mock-up and all) but I liked the overall tone. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

  • frostcircus #35 3 weeks ago

I bet this clip turns out to be an origin story; the game's big boss will be either the wife or the baby or (god I hope) the man himself

  • Daeltaja #36 3 weeks ago

    Wow, that looks positively shit.

  • ELECTROMA_23 #37 3 weeks ago

@Armoured_Gideon lol yer and whos wife would answer the door while shes dressed like that lol.
she got a nice ass though

  • DavidBoring #38 3 weeks ago

can you press x for jason ?

  • Bluetooth #39 3 weeks ago

Well, he was an estate agent.

  • DDevil #40 3 weeks ago

When he blew out that candle he probably shouldn't have wished to be strapped to a bomb and chucked off the Brooklyn Bridge.

  • Freek #41 3 weeks ago

Uhm, you guys are making a video-GAME, right?? Game? Playing, interactivity?? Hopefully you won't forget that when you move this out of the conccept phase.

And did anybody actaully buy that "we have reason to believe they will like this"-nonsense?

I like the fact that it says @not actual gameplay' at the bottom. A bit like the adverts for womens eyelash crap where they add false lashes, eh?

Anyway, boring reveal. A few good ideas, though. I like the shoving the guy off the bridge. Moral choices are good, mkay? However, setting up the mini story with showing the guys wife parading around in a nightie is a little sexist, no? Is that the only way us guys are going to care about what happens to her cause she's a slut? Give us a bit more credit, please.

And don't jump us around people's perspectives, either. If you want us to identify with a given situation, then have us only play one person. If you want to show us the story from different perspectives, have a replay game option of playing with a different character, and not just one that goes up on the balcony to cover the previous character, that's just lazy.

  • superdelphinus #44 3 weeks ago

Painfully unoriginal but looks like it could be fun

  • Ed6445 #45 3 weeks ago

They seemed like very polite hostage takers - they rang the doorbell and waited until she answered before smashing it down. I also like 'push square to kiss wife' - maybe that's where I've been going wrong with my technique?

  • GamesConnoisseur #46 3 weeks ago

Not an Actual Gameplay indicates both that it's a mock up and very much a work in progress

Looking very poor? So reliant on QTEs/Heavy Rain?

And you lot are probably the very same people who coo and got excited at the mere snippet of photos or a logo with hints of game like MW2 pre launch.

Both doesn't really give us a real idea of how the game will actually turns out to be, they are at best just give us an idea, focal point to look forward to.

For me, I m all for them trying out new things, new directions rather than endlessly same formula as the last one or the big thing at the time.

  • Power_n_Glory #47 3 weeks ago

Looks very rough and I hope they get rid of the see through car vision. If you need to mark and execute enemies, you should have to switch to thermal goggles. Disappointed with the footage, but Rainbow Six is one of my favourite shooters. I loved Vegas 1 and 2. Good to see the series coming back.

  • davoshendo #48 3 weeks ago

I definitely would've let go of R2 while still in that van.

  • braydee89 #49 3 weeks ago

Thought it looked great. The AR looked quite cool, commanding your team looked nice and the plot looked fantastic.

  • bionic #50 3 weeks ago

My comments are base solely on the video, not the game play.

The art style took me back to Heavy Rain, but not once did it come close in terms of brilliance. It came across as crude. Subtlety lacking in most areas.

    As Armoured_Gideon said Massively unrealistic.
    - compared to Heavy Rain

As Daeltaja said Wow, that looks positively shit.
    - wasnt quite that bad.

As superdelphinus said Painfully unoriginal but looks like it could be fun
    - Unoriginal for sure
