• Summary: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a direct sequel to the previous game in the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with a campaign storyline continuing the struggle of U.S. forces against an invasion by the Russian Federation following the framing of an undercover U.S. agent in a terrorist attack on Moscow. Together with classic Call of Duty multi-character control, Modern Warfare 3 contains deep multiplayer support, including two-player Co-op Survival mode. The game also contains all-new Kill Streak categories and customizable strike packages that offer more options for player combat styles and strategies. Expand

Like a divorced parent trying to win the affection of an only child, the game dishes out rewards with every breath.

It's hard to believe Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally arrived let alone lived up to all the hype surrounding it.

Effective, but it is a recipe that begins to show serious limitations.

  1. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is fun, but more of the same from the explosive formula that came from the first Modern Warfare. If you enjoyed every Call of Duty up to this point, and you get psyched up for the new kill streaks, new perks, new weapons and load outs, then by all means give MW3 a go. I'd personally wait for a price drop to the $40 range, as I feel the price of $60 USD for what appears to be a slightly more than expansion-level offering is a tad high. By no means a bad game, but you played this game last year, the year before, the year before that and the year before that. Expand

the campain was ok, but way too short and pretty much relies on set pieces to keep people interested, i have only played spec ops 5 times but can honestly say iv never really enjoyed it. when i first played multiplayer i loved it but after a day it just got boring, should have just been a map pack for mw2 Expand

  3. I have been playing this game for some time now and feel comfortable enough to write a simple review about it. Lets be clear about one thing, my opinion is based on previous versions of the game and from a consumers point of view. Is it worth purchasing a game that has been recycled with few updates? To some it is, but for me its not. It is time to break the monotony of this game. This is MW2.5 at best! This game is couple of new maps, guns, and modes, that could've been released as an expansion pack. We as a consumer are entitled to more than just mindless shooters that feel like your hand is being held the whole way through. The only good thing about this game is the Spec Ops portion of it. I don't have much to say that I haven't said already. This will be the last COD purchase I make until Infinity Ward decides to build MW, or any COD from the ground up. It's nice to see 60fps but at the same time its hard to put up with textures that are last gen in hi resolution. If you have played MW before and MW2 and are expecting something different then don't be surprised when you pop this game in and say to yourself, "haven't I done this before"? You as a consumer deserve better... Expand
