We are currently aware of an issue with Internet Explorer 9 that stops KeepVideo from working properly. If you can't download any videos with the default Java version of our site, you can either switch to our non-Java site or use Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox to browse this site. We are working to fix this problem and are sorry for any inconvenience caused!

How to download a video from YouTube in just 3 simple steps:

*** It is very important that you download the latest Java (for FREE!) or update your current installed version ***
  1. Copy and paste a YouTube video URL (Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KldZnvCLxhM) into the box above and hit "Download"
  2. If it's your first time here, a warning dialogue may pop up; just select "Run" and check "Always trust content from this publisher" to continue. This is perfectly safe and will not install any malicious software.
  3. A list of download links will appear. Right-click on the format you want and select "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As..." to start your download. Optionally, you may rename the video before saving it. That's all!

How to play videos downloaded from YouTube:

  1. If your computer already has QuickTime installed, try it first and see if it can open and play the downloaded videos.
  2. If the above does not work for you, download and play your flash videos (.flv) or (HD) MPEG-4 movies (.mp4) with the compact, installation-free Wimpy FLV Player.
  3. Alternatively, download a full-fledged media player like VLC Media Player or KMPlayer.
