About Me

Greetings! I’m Brittany-Ann Wick, here to serve your political and news-related needs.

Local Voices is the latest in my political involvement—when it all started has faded from my memory. I’m a born and raised Louisvillian, (and a born and raised Kentucky girl for you out-of-towners) recently graduated from Western Kentucky University with an English and Political Science degree. Hold the questions on my career please, thanks. I’m still figuring that out. For now, I’m combining three of the things I love the most here: politics, writing, and Louisville.

Near and dear to my political activist heart is my feminism. (Don’t groan! Wait and read!) I’m the founder and sole contributer of A Bookish Beemer, a feminist blog. I also moderate at My Fault, I’m Female—an FML-style site for sexist interactions. This is going to be a great ride…I hope you’re looking forward to our conversations as much as I am!
