A Bit of Beach

A little pick me up for my snowbound friends - enjoy!

While the video is beautiful, I most enjoyed hearing you talk to us. God bless. <3

I enjoyed the sound of the waves you sent us. I’m reporting in from Minnesota and we are looking at sparkling snow with clear blue skies at 20. We are fortunate enough to have a timeshare on our North Shore where we, too, can hear the waves - yes even in the dead of winter. Very seldom does Lake Superior freeze - even in the coves - unless we have a diet of below zero temps for long periods of time. Indeed we have lots of snow, too, but I think some of the snows in the east have rivaled MN this year. We always expect snow and cold - and if you truly don’t enjoy winters with snow and cold from Thanksgiving through at least half of March, you just have to relocate or be a very unhappy person, which is why my brother and sister-in-law left for Florida last Thursday. I love the snow, feeding and keeping open water for our birds, watching the antics of the squirrels and playing with my little grandsons who I take care of 4 days a week. A high percentage of us own snowblowers. I also have a recording of Lake Superior waves - so when I need a day of warm weather - I put it on and read seed catalogs! Thanks again for the waves.

Beautiful!  Thank you for sharing.  I was wondering what the temperature was where you were (you may have said that, but with the background noise I may have missed it grin.

Gorgeous. I am jealous, but thanks for sharing anyway. smile

Lisa, the ocean looked beautiful.  I live in Blackpool, Lancashire in North West England.  Although I live on the coast our sea is the Irish Sea and can be quite murky and rough at times, it was good to see such a serene scene.  Thanks for that.

The beach looks nice. it is a sandy beach with no rocks. But if rocks are present in a sandy beach then the water becomes cystal clear like beaches of goa in india. Not all beaches are with rocks there.
