Christ Church raises over $18K to help end poverty
[Montclair (NJ) Times] Since 2004, Christ Church, in Short Hills, New Jersey, has raised more than $150,000 for Heifer International, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending poverty and hunger around the world. This year, with donations still coming in, the church has already raised more than $18,000.

Tennessee church supports homeless program
[Maryville (TN) Daily Times] St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, in Maryville, Tennessee, has donated $6,500 to Family Promise of Blount County. What began with a core group of 15 volunteers has grown into a full-fledged outreach ministry involving about 70 church members.
