So if you’re “out of step” with what others think, you’re silenced. God bless the Johns. What a pity that no more children will benefit from their generosity and kindness.
Traditional Christians Are Unfit Parents

Perhaps you recall the case of Owen & Eunice Johns from a post last March.
They’re the couple in Britain who were banned from being foster parents for refusing to say there was nothing wrong with practicing homosexuality.
Mind you, they were not crusaders on the issue. They weren’t planning to bring it up.
They simply told regulators in all honesty that if the issue came up they could not in conscience equate homosexuality with traditional marriage. For this they were deemed a threat to children.
The Johns appealed the decision, and in London, the High Court has ruled that Christians with traditional opinions about homosexuality indeed pose a threat to children and may not serve as foster parents, as this news story explains.

My husband and I have tried to get legal custody of our niece and nephew twice. The first time they went to an aunt on her third marriage, the next to their 26 yr. old cousin who was pregnant but not married. This was the guy’s third child from as many women. The nephew is now back in foster care (Niece aged out). We are too religious for them to consider us. Yes 19 years of marriage and three (somewhat normal) kids is not a good environment according to the state of Washington. Child protective services does everything BUT protect children.
