Motorcyclist killed
A 28-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist from Paralimni was killed in a road accident late Friday while riding his high-powered motorbike on the road to Cape Greco in Protaras. Antonis Periandrou, was riding his motorbike down Capo Greco Avenue at around 5.15pm when he was cut off by a 34-year-old motorist also from Paralimni driving a double cabin vehicle. The 34-year-old was driving in the opposite direction to Periandrou when he turned right, colliding with the motorcyclist. Famagusta police spokesman Georgios Economou said yesterday police investigations revealed the 28-year-old was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash while the 34-year-old driver tested zero for alcohol consumption. ... 7 comments
