22 February? Fuck's sake.
I'll get Wi-Fi with Uncharted, anyway. I've made the mistake of buying too many launch titles in the past.
Launch titles. The ginger step-children of a console's lineup. Put me down for the 3G one and that game with shifting gravity.
Fuck's sake indeed. I wanted one to tide me through the boring time away from my family in New Mexico, which conveniently ends at the beginning of March. I'm assuming the US release date is broadly similar.

Don't quite know how I'm going to afford this yet. Bit I will be getting one. That is certain.

Currently trying to play: PGA Tour 11, FIFA 12, Virtua Tennis 4, Uncharted 3 MP, Portal 2, Tomb Raider Trilogy, Naruto: UNS2, Nier, Ico & SotC HD, Child of Eden, Xenoblade Chronicles, Alpha Protocol.
Tempted by one of these with Disgaea 3. Released just after my birthday too
Speaking of Disgaea. Have you seen the trailer for 4 off the US PSN?
I actually found it quite hilarious.
Check it out if you can. It's quite lengthy but well worth it
EDIT: This is it. 6 and a half minutes long and I've linked it as the tiny screens we get here wouldn't do it justice.

Fairly uninspiring list of launch titles really. Any new IP's? I seem to recall there being a puzzle game that looked quite interesting.
So, £200 (or whatever it is) for Super Stardust is a bust, sorry.
Is it just me or is that way way too expensive for a handheld console? Maybe £199.99 and £149.99 and I'd of been in day one.. but that's just going to bomb surely? It's like they've learnt nothing from the PS3 launch debacle.
Good old Sony! Woo hoo!
It doesn't look very mass market at £229, even though it's probably quite a generous price. You could always wait for a desperation price drop, I'm not convinced that will happen, but there's definitely a chance.

There's bound to be a price point for Chrimbo 2012. It's the Sony way.
I'm not convinced that there wont be a shortage of software once take up isn't good in exactly the same fashion as PSP.
Wow, I must be missing something here because it looks like another PSP all over again and I have been left completely unmoved by it.
OK it is more powerful and has a touch interface tacked on the back (is that really going to be any use or practical to use?) but it has the odour of PSP about it.
What am I missing?

This almost entirely, except that I'm an idiot and will be buying it just for Super Stardust Delta.
and I'll probably buy one for the JRPG hit.
and the unannounced CAVE game.
No RPGs are announced for launch though, are they?
I would like Skyrim on this bad boy please, Bethesda.
As others have just said, £279 for what to the casual observer looks like another PSP isn't "I'll put it on my credit card" territory.
I guess the hardcore will be there day one but I can't see it bringing many casuals back into the fold, especially in skint February. But that's what we've been saying all along anyway.

Disgaea is launch, but I probably won't get one on launch day.
Calling it another PSP is ignorant in the extreme to be honest.

Howso? They've over-priced the launch (although to be fair, most companies do). They're making no real attempt to attract any new consumers and the launch line-up isn't up to much.
Other than the fact they've got rid of the ridiculous UMD format, what do you see here that is so different?
I'm still not sure what type of media the games come on. Is it a disc or a card or something like that?
If that's your argument, might as well call it another 3DS. Might as well never get another handheld ever again. They're all the same.
Looks shite. I don't want one.
I think it's downloadable to removable media?
Actually, I have no idea. Ignore me.
I regret getting one of those too.
...
No, it looks nice. But it is shite.
Got one, have you, Kow?
Games come on cards but all retail games will be on the online store, possibly with a slight discount.
There won't be any surprises in the early games but the line-up's not that bad is it? Uncharted and Wipeout should be solid fun.
Not sure how the price will go down, 3DS is £100 cheaper and an 8GB iPod touch 4 is £70 cheaper.
Oh shut up you.
I shall buy a Kindle Fire instead, I think I've decided.
