will shape-shift to yield a custom fit with
a just a few trips to the gym or a day on
the rocks. Dual 25 mm straps and padded
mesh bellows tongue are comfortable and
easy in-n-out when swapping lead for belay
duty or hiking to the next route. First
day I tested KRYPTOS I climbed 16 Pinnacles
"pitches" - up to a half rope
length - and marveled at the sensitivity
and precision of this well fitted model.
Firm and sticky FS Quattro underfoot backed
by a cutaway half midsole gave predictable
performance on everything from slab thru
thin steep edges to rounded knobs. Heel
rand locks you in and boosts function of
the dimpled heel cup - which frictions well
for heel hooks and scums. This shoes got
it all - there is even a rubber strip across
the top, at the base of the toes for added
comfort and friction in cracks. Made in

TOOL TIP: For
close barefoot fit - convert your US running
shoe size to UK (ie US 11 = UK 10). Stick
with this size for balance of comfort &
performance or subtract 1/2 UK size - (UK
9.5) for super snug fit.

Use a little water and either soft nylon or
stiff brass bristles to remove dirt and oxidized
rubber. Edges can be tuned with sand paper,
crepe eraser will keep uppers lookin' good.
