Resident Evil: Retribution Carnage Footage
Not the stage collapse that injured lots of zombie extras, though. That would have been just sick. Nope, this is a video from the set with an, erm, “enthusiastic” commentary from Milla Jovovich herself

The animated Batman Year One is on the verge of its US release (18 Oct) and we’re getting officially excited. The Blu-Ray and DVD also includes a special short film concentrating on Catwoman, who also appears in the main feature, and is voiced in both by Eliza Dushku. We can’t actually show you a clip from the Catwoman film, because it’s getting an exclusive world premiere at New York Comic-Con on Friday, but Warners has given SFX a couple of exclusive shots from the short (click on through to main body of this article) this exclusive clip above of Catwoman in action from Batman Year One. What a mover, eh? Oh, and keep an eye on this site for a special Batman Year One competition soon.
A new, intense-looking post-apocalyptic thriller from Hitman director Xavier Gens. German/US/Canadian co-production it apparently features the performance of a lifetime from Michael (Aliens) Biehn (who appears to be morphing to Stephen McHattie). No UK release date yet, and only a limited theatrical release in the US, but this looks like it may have “cult hit” written all over it.
Eye-popping, revolutionary motion-capture, or a voyage into the uncanny valley? The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn, courtesy of Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, is released in the UK on 26 October. Click through for more clips…

Kiefer Sutherland returns to TV next year as Martin Bohm in Touch, a new sci-fi thriller for Fox, created by Heroes’ Tim Kring. Will Bohm be the new Bauer? The Knowing-esque trailer certainly looks more intriguing than the one-line pitch (man has autistic son who can see the future) suggested. What do you think?
How many characters can you spot in this fantastic new Sony PlayStation ad. Hey, yeah, we’re complicit in some viral ad campaign, but when the ad’s this good, we’re not copmplaining…
Don’t you just hate the way Christmas comes earlier every year? After this trailer, you might think it can’t come soon enough. It’s a new collaboration between Sony and Aardman Animation, featuring the voice talents of James McAvoy, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton and Bill Nighy as members of the family Christmas living in the North Pole amidst a hugely complex and high-tech operation that’s needed to get billions of presents delivered every year.
Batman: Year One is based on the landmark 1987 DC Comics titles from 12-time Eisner Award winner Frank Miller and illustrator David Mazzucchelli. The film depicts young Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham City in his first attempts to fight injustice as a costumed vigilante. The playboy billionaire chooses the guise of a giant bat to combat crime, creates an early bond with a young Lieutenant James Gordon (who is already battling corruption from inside the police department), inadvertently plays a role in the birth of Catwoman, and helps to bring down a crooked political system that infests Gotham. The all-new, PG-13 rated film is available in the US from 18 October 2011 from Warner Home Video.

Okay, are you ready for a True Blood/Teen Wolf/Twilight mash-up? Well, sort of… True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, plus former Teen Wolf Michael J Fox, are providing the voices of some clearly Twilight-inspired characters in an upcoming Halloween episode of Disney Channel’s animated series Phineas And Ferb. In the episode “The Curse of Candace”, Phineas And Ferb’s older sister Candace goes to see the latest teen smash movie which looks suspiciously like Twilight. Moyer provides the voice of a vampire, Jared, while Fox is werewolf Michael and the two battle for the attention of Paquin’s Kristen (who doesn’t blink enough to be a real Kristen Stewart parody, if you ask us).
