Rapha launch autumn/winter range

By BikeRadar, UK

London-based cycling brand Rapha have launched their new autumn/winter range with an online 'lookbook' showcasing the best of what’s to come.

While clothing is obviously high on the agenda – with racing, training and city riding all taken care of – there are additions to the luggage and accessories range, including a new shaving cream.

Let’s start with the clothing. The merino-blended Winter Jersey (£150) is designed for cold or freezing conditions. Zipped underarm vents aid breathability while windproof chest panels help keep out the cold. A reflective armband and large zipped rear pocket reinforce the jacket’s winter credentials. For women there's the new fitted-cut, full-length-zipped Long Sleeve Jersey (£130), which is a merino-rich jersey designed for mild to cold riding conditions.

New to the Pro Team range is the Pro Team Jacket (£190). It’s designed for all-out cold weather interval training and is built from windproof and water-repellent Polartec material at the front. Rear panels use Super-Roubaix fleece for insulation and moisture wicking. Being a race jacket, it's very much got a race fit, with a high front and low back.

For the city, the new Merino Roll Neck (£90) is an old-fashioned wool jersey, combining vintage details with modern updates. The knitted chest band was inspired by the British national champion's jersey which was, until recently, the property of Rapha Condor Sharp's Kristian House.

Accessories-wise, the Shaving Cream (£15) is designed for both the legs and face and has a "subtle fragrance inspired by the flora surrounding Mont Ventoux". Ingredients include patchouli, which is an anti-inflammatory to treat skin conditions. To see the whole range, head over to Rapha's website.

  • Well done to the Rapha marketing team, anyone who can shift cr@p like shaving cream with a "subtle fragrance inspired by the flora surrounding Mont Ventoux" really earns their salary. More like the strong aroma of bul$hit if you ask me.
