Unity Technologies has presented its Unity Awards at the Unite 11 conference in San Francisco tonight. The awards are presented by the game creation tools company to developers who've made exceptional use of Unity in their projects and, held in the main hall of the San Francisco Masonic centre, were the most glitzy yet.
The absence of most of the creators from the conference led to a disappointing lack of acceptance speeches, but is indicative of the types of teams predominantly working with Unity3D who are unlikely to have bottomless travel budgets.
The winners of each catergory are as follows:
Best student game
GLiD by Spiderling Gamesid
Best cross-platform game
Buddy Rush by Sollmo
Best graphics
Rochard by Recoil Games
Best gameplay
Rochard again
Best non-game
Virtual History ROMA by Mondadori Digital
Community choice
Battlestar Galactica Online by Bigpoint
Grand Prix
Battleheart by Mika Mobile

1Rochard is actually pretty
Rochard is actually pretty decent, and deserving of the recognition, at least when it comes to gameplay.
