 My Client is a hugely successful developer and publisher of online games; they are looking for exceptional and passionate programmers who want to work with cutting edge technology to join their Technologies team where they will be working with code libraries, scripting language and game engine technologies. 

  They are looking for people who have excelled in the field of computer programming to join this fast-paced team, with successful candidates being proficient in all aspects of programming and also able to code in a succinct manner. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with ambition and initiative to join a fast-paced, rapidly-expanding online games company.   Key Duties Include: •Act as lead on projects, overseeing design and development •Develop and maintain bespoke content creation tools and pipelines to the highest standards •Research new technology, platforms, techniques and ideas •Enhance both the tools team libraries and the game engine libraries •Line management of tool development team   Essential Requirements: •High level knowledge of JavaC++C# •High level knowledge of object oriented programming techniques •Excellent communication skills •Strong understanding and appreciation of code design philosophies •Strong academic background at degree level or equivalent •Good industry track record, which may include previously published products, or tools development experience •Strong understanding of the modern content creation pipelines •Experience as a lead programmer •The ability to think creatively to solve coding problems •The ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative, determination and flexibility •Experience of working with agile methodologies   Desirable Requirements: •Knowledge of other platforms including, but not limited to, Mac OS, Linux, WII, PS3 and Xbox 360 •Experience of working on network and MMO games   Very competitive salary (negotiable, depending on experience), excellent benefits package including annual bonus, private health care and gym membership.   If you are interested in this role please call Claire on 01206 214413 or email your CV in word format to officemanager@opmjobs.com   Disclaimer:The salary bracket shown is approximate and is no guarantee of the income on offer.  Salary and benefits will be discussed with candidates at interview with the company and are individually negotiated by OPM.
