"Let us help the children now so as to not punish the men tomorrow."

I was born the 5th of April 1974 and grew up in Ambato, a small city in the center of Ecuador surrounded by mountains.

From boyhood I liked the challenges and the technology in school and I specialized in mathematical physics. Later I entered the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador where I graduated as Technologist in Systems and Computation (1999) and chose to follow an Engineering in Systems program. I am developing my thesis at Schlumberger and I hope to graduate as an engineer this year.

I began at Schlumberger the 15th of August 2001 and for 5 months I have been collaborating as the Local IT Coordinator for SEED in Ecuador, where our equipment has brought the Internet to the Amazonian Region (Project Lago Agrio). We plan to expand to Coca, a small city that is also in the Amazonian Region. The children and young people are going to experience the Internet for the first time in their lives.

In the university I worked as administrator of the network in the systems laboratory. This was my first work in the technical area of computation and it was very interesting.

At the moment I work in the human resources department of Schlumberger in Quito as LDAP Administrator and Local Registration Authority. In the technology area I am very interested in the security of the information of the network, and to avoid any attack of hackers or crackers on the network.

I like sports such as the Andinismo (mountain climbing), swimming, cycling and soccer.
