Due to unexpected failures on the miter gates on the main chamber and scheduled repairs to the auxiliary chamber at Hannibal Locks and dam, Ohio River, mile 126.4, the Ohio River is closed to navigation at this location.
Allegheny and Monongahela River Seasonal Lock Schedule Change The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' will remove small boat warning signs and pillar buoys at all navigation locks and dams on the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers this week. The removal of the signs and buoys is part of routine fall maintenance of the navigation system and is necessary to prevent damage from ice and high water.

Pittsburgh, Pennylvania, This year's dry summer weather has resulted in lower than average lake levels at some of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers multi-purpose reservoirs in the Pittsburgh District. Flooding was compounded by melting snow, resulting in saturated ground and strong flow in tributary creeks.
