Should you need to request warranty service, please submit the appropriate service request below and our Customer Relations team will be happy to assist you. Please understand that while we consider every request to be important, we reserve the right to classify service requests in order to provide the best possible service to all of our customers.

Standard Service Request: For non-emergency warranty service requests.
Touch-Up Request: To request your one-time interior drywall and trim courtesy touch-up.
Urgent Service Request: For priority service requests; please see below for more information on additional emergency service contacts

Emergency and Priority Warranty Service Requests:

If you have an emergency in your home that requires immediate attention, our team is ready to assist you. Examples of emergencies include flooding, gas leaks, potential fire hazards, threats to your personal safety or having no heat in extremely cold temperatures.

Examples of priority issues include a roof or basement leak that has not resulted in flooding, electrical problems resulting in loss of power or having one HVAC unit not operational in extremely hot or cold temperatures. 5-20 Warranty Overview of Coverage

This is only a brief summary. Please refer to your Warranty Booklet for complete details.

1 YEAR:

  • Defects in materials and workmanship as defined in Construction Quality Standards
  • Garage Doors
  • Flooring
  • HVAC Systems
  • Light fixtures and ceiling fans (covered by manufacturer)
  • Structured and Security wiring
  • One time interior drywall touch up (painting, sheetrock & caulking) as defined in Construction Quality Standards


2 YEAR: 

  • HVAC: refrigerant leaks and noisy ductwork
  • Septic system
  • Plumbing leaks due to frozen water lines


5 YEAR: 

  • Roof leaks due to materials or workmanship
  • Basement or crawl space leaks
  • Interior gas leaks
  • Defects in electrical main panel, electrical service disconnect, wiring, switches and outlets
  • Plumbing leaks at fixtures, fittings, interior pipes (tarnishing, pitting covered by manufacturer)
  • HVAC: compressor, condenser coil, heat exchanger and thermostat only
  • Breaks in window seals, defects with sash locks
  • Sewer- leaks due to workmanship


20 YEAR: 

Structural Defect is (i) actual physical damage (ii) to only the following designated load-bearing elements of the Home (iii) caused by failure of such load-bearing elements, which affect their load-bearing function (iv) to the extent that the Home becomes unsafe or unsanitary. The following elements, if load-bearing, constitute the designated elements. 1. foundation systems and footings; 2. beams; 3. girders; 4. lintels; 5. columns; 6.walls and partitions; 7. floor systems; and 8. roof framing systems. All four (4) parts of the definition must be satisfied in order for a condition to qualify as a Structural Defect. The definition is substantially the same as that contained in regulations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is designed to be coverage for only catastrophic failure of load-bearing elements of the Home.

  • Driveways & walkways
  • Decks, porches & patios
  • Stoops & steps
  • Boundary and retaining walls
  • Fences, landscaping and irrigation systems
  • Any outbuilding, detached garage or carport
  • Damage caused by acts of nature
  • Damage or alterations to the structure by anyone other than Wieland
  • Wood rot or insect damage of any kind
  • Sealants and caulking of the exterior windows/doors and roof penetrations are the sole responsibility of the homeowner
