About the AI Program

In the online marketplace, technological advancements in the areas of online marketing and business intelligence are developing very quickly. The Academic Initiative program offers universities and colleges the opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of Web Analytics and Online Optimization by partnering with Adobe to accelerate development of university online marketing and business intelligence courses. This partnership gives higher education institutions the chance to more ably keep pace with technological developments via access to data sets, curriculum, trainers, and other resources.

Students who become familiar with Adobe’s award-winning online optimization products and services will be better equipped to excel in their fields of study, and prepared to sit for Adobe Certified Professional certification exams. Adobe’s collaborative relationship with leading colleges and universities provides the pivotal link that will create an outstanding new generation of users.

AI has been implemented into many different kinds of classes in several areas of study. To best support our AI partners, Adobe allows the curricula to be used as best suits their program. Schools are free to present the courses as written, or extract the segments most relevant to the purpose of the course.

Once enrolled in the program each institution receives access to a dedicated sample data set, all curricula, and other support materials. Adobe supports AI members by providing guidance, course material updates, and industry support and insights.

To receive all program benefits two contracts must be completed. The contracts also include an annual subscription fee for the program which covers the administration of the program. To receive a copy of the contracts, e-mail akingsfo@adobe.com.

Competitions annually for academic institutions. Participation in AI is not mandatory for competition participation, though AI members have an advantage in providing insight and experience to their students.

The Web Analytics Competition gives students the chance to dig into real-time data sets provided by Adobe clients to act as consultants. Students review the data and are tasked with finding potential issues and solutions to those issues. Review the Competition Guide for additional details.

The Mobile Apps Competition requires students to develop applications for mobile devices and implement mobile solution to track visitor data. Review the Competition Guide for additional details.
