New cause: Give cheating coaches the death penalty
So, the NCAA wants to get tough on cheating? Tony Barnart says a good place to start is with crooked coaches like Jim Tressel. Forget the 'show cause' penalty -- if you really want to punish cheaters, ban them for life.

Zambrano quit, but union won't quit defending losers like him
Defending its members is the MLBPA's job. But maybe, sometimes, Gregg Doyel says the union should use discretion. Like when Carlos Zambrano gives up during a game, gets ejected, then says he's going to quit on his team.

Danielson is right: SEC should win even when it loses
The SEC can't lose. Just ask Gary Danielson, who says don't be surprised if a one-loss SEC team jumps an undefeated team for a spot in this year's BCS title game. Tony Barnhart agrees, given the SEC's five straight national titles.
