GOD BLESS ALL our Fallen Soliders
May 30 2011 16:15:41
A Day of Prayer,
For those who are aware,
Of the needless death,
And needless strife,
And needless tears from a fallen soldiers Wife,
If only we had known,
That the battle wasn't our own,
That it had been manifested,
By those who were destined,
To show their strength by force,
As a matter of course,
In order to control and manipulate others,
Which in turn has killed too many of our brothers.

Upon their return,
The ones who were shipped in a box,
Who oddly enough,
Gained their FREEDOM,
In the form of a Military Funeral.

The rest of them linger,
As the Government decides their fate,
For there is no true support,
For them who return thru the gates.

So whatever you celebrate,
On this Memorial Day,
Do so in remembrance,
Of the ones we have lost,
And what it has cost,
The lives of their families,
The Wives and Mother's, Children and Father's too,
Who have lost someone that may have been YOU.

Do so in respect,
For they did not know,
That our own Government,
Would let them down so.

Today is the day to honor them ALL,
From the Civil War till now and beyond,
They will always be the "Honored Ones"...

May God Bless ALL of OUR Soldiers,
Whether they be alive or passed,
They will remain in MY heart,
Till I too have passed.

Trial by Fire

Did Texas execute an innocent man?

by David Grann

The fire moved quickly through the house, a one-story wood-frame structure in a working-class neighborhood of Corsicana, in northeast Texas. Flames spread along the walls, bursting through doorways, blistering paint and tiles and furniture. Smoke pressed against the ceiling, then banked downward, seeping into each room and through crevices in the windows, staining the morning sky.

Buffie Barbee, who was eleven years old and lived two houses down, was playing in her back yard when she smelled the smoke. She ran inside and told her mother, Diane, and they hurried up the street; that’s when they saw the smoldering house and Cameron Todd Willingham standing on the front porch, wearing only a pair of jeans, his chest blackened with soot, his hair and eyelids singed. He was screaming, “My babies are burning up!” His children—Karmon and Kameron, who were one-year-old twin girls, and two-year-old Amber—were trapped inside.

Isn't it amazing how the simplest things are sometimes the most likely to work.

WE SHOULD HAVE THIS (AGAIN) TOO!

For years prior to 1937 cannabis tinctures where widely available to consumers. smk

A California-based company has introduced three cannabis based medicinal extracts (CBMEs), also known as tinctures, derived from organic plant material. They offer patients a choice of low, medium or high euphoric component THC, balanced with the healing cannabinoid CBD.

According to CBD Science LLC, based in San Francisco, "These are the first CBME products on the market with certified potency and purity, scientifically calibrated and documented."
Steep Hill Lab certifies the propylene glycol ("double alcohol") CBMEs as Safe Cannabis™, free of pesticides and mold. The lab also documents potency through THC and CBD levels.
The CMBE products, branded Alta California, are so far available to patients with valid recommendations at the following nonprofit dispensaries: Medithrive in San Francisco; Crème De Canna in Santa Cruz; and Magnolia Wellness in Orangevale, California.

Farmers file class-action suit against tobacco company

Several Kentucky farmers have filed a class-action lawsuit against a leading tobacco merchant they say failed to honor contracts to purchase burley tobacco from them at the end of the 2010 crop year.

Now some of the farmers say they would rather leave the business than gamble on tobacco.

The lawsuit, which was filed against Universal Leaf North America last week in Harrison Circuit Court, says hundreds of farmers have lost what amounts to millions.

Among the plaintiffs are Jerry Feagan of Berry, Steve Lang of Cynthiana and Thomas Leach and Larry O'Neill, both of Dry Ridge, who say agents of Universal Leaf North America refused to accept tobacco, the lawsuit says. They are seeking monetary damages to be determined at trial.

Universal Corporation, which is based in Richmond, Va., is the world's leading tobacco merchant and processor, the lawsuit said. Universal Corporation is the parent company of ULNA, which is based in Nashville, N.C., and registered to do business in Kentucky.
